Beginning January 1 2024, the Alabama Department of Revenue will begin to issue certificates of title for water vessels (boats) that are constructed after December 31, 2023.
Vessels that require titles are those between 18 and 26 feet in length.
Titles may be applied for at the licensing office or dealership where boats are purchased.
The application fee at the Commissioner of Licenses office will be $25.00 plus applicable tax and registration fees.
