CREDIT CARD FEES REDUCED!!!!

Calhoun County Commissioner of License, Barry E. Robertson, is pleased to announce that IMS Enterprises will lower the fee associated with transaction payments from 3% to 2.5% effective July 1, 2014.
Currently, Calhoun County residents are paying 3% of the total amount of their transactions as a convenience fee, which is charged by IMS Enterprises, the software company which charges the transaction amount to the credit card at the time of processing.
As a government entity, the Commissioner of License Office is not authorized to charge any fees to transactions handled for state and county business, however, credit card acceptance is made possible by partnership with IMS Enterprises.
Credit cards may be used to process license plate transactions, manufactured home registrations, hunting/fishing licenses, business licenses, driver licenses and boat registrations at all three Calhoun County locations in Anniston, Alexandria, and Piedmont.
